Sean Kapera
is a performing arts graduate of Arizona State University with a strong background in acting and improvisational dance, is a member of the Screen Actors Guild, and has been acting in film, television, theatre, industrial films, and commercials since graduation. Sean was also the head drama instructor at an arts center, where he taught performing arts to all ages for eleven years. Sean has also been a special guest drama instructor for many middle schools, high schools, colleges, and universities.
Sean spends a great deal of his time working with his two theatre companies that he created and also directs. Impromptu, which is a improvisational acting, dancing, and music troupe and Bound At The Mouth, a sketch comedy and improvisational theatre troupe that performs at various venues in the Los Angeles area. With agency representation in both California and Arizona, Sean juggles a very busy schedule with his acting, directing, teaching, and well established photography business, Sean Kapera Photography.
Sean has had the opportunity to study numerous times with improvisational theatre legend, Paul Sills. Sills is the son of Viola Spolin and was responsible for starting the first improvisational theatre troupe in our country as well as create and direct the well known, Second City, in Chicago.
Some of Sean's acting credits include: The Majestic, The Chosen One, ABC's The Wonder Years and Take Two Movie Reviews. Some theatrical performances, including musicals are: Bowl of Beings (Che Guevara / Christopher Columbus), Tuck Everlasting (The Man In The Yellow Suit), Up the Down Staircase (Joe Ferone), Man of La Mancha (The Barber), All American (Edwin Bricker), Most Valuable Player, (Leo Durocher/Enos Blackwell), Just Before Sleep (Joseph Gomez), and Impromptu & Bound At The Mouth (Director/Performer).
